CURRENT CAMPAIGNS
Corrupt Planning - Major cities are being overcrowded with inadequate infrastructure, thus risking the Security of residents. It is being done to provide profits to developers who pay kickbacks to politicians and political parties. Australia's Happiness Index shows this corrupt policy is destroying the lives and happiness of big city residents- in the land of wide open spaces with satellite communications technology. Join the campaign to stop it, if necessary through election action. Reply to SuppX621@fairgo.org << Back to list
Trucking Terror - Have you counted the number of truck crashes in the last two months in Australia? They are caused by bad and criminal drivers, inadequate licence training and testing, rogue transport companies exploiting good drivers, drug abuse, lack of policing, corrupt, incompetent judges and magistrates. No matter how many police there are they can never cover all roads. Right now they can hardly cover any. Join Roadwatch. Make Australian roads safe and profitable for safe truckies and honest safety-conscious transport companies. Make those roads safe for other motorists. Roadwatch helps safe truck drivers get home with bigger pay packets by having dangerous trucks reported to Police and politicians for them to deal with.
Special Education needs your help. Governments don't care much about children with special educational needs. These children have learning difficulties and disabilities. Because they are a small group and their parents are stretched, they are ignored by politicians and bureaucrats. It is a numbers game played with our children's lives and future Australians pay the price. We need all the parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, friends and neighbours of children with serious learning difficulties or disabilities to help us put this issue on the political agenda. Politicians need to know that plenty of voters do care for our kids. Then they will care too!
Pregnant women, often young, may not know the dangers of drinking alcohol during their pregnancy, particularly at certain key times. Politicians prefer to keep it that way because governments make a heap of money out of alcohol sold to pregnant women and their drinking companions. Join our campaign to have warning labels on all bottles, cartons and other containers and in all locations where alcohol is sold. America insists we label Australian wine going into the US market with appropriate warnings. Why are young Australian women considered less important than American ones by Australian politicians and political parties? Follow the money trail! But votes beats money every time for politicians.
Day care without education gets funded by politicians, but Kindergarten where children are educated as well as looked after does not. Private enterprise is making millions out of our children whilst those who have educated them in pre-school for years are battling. We want equal government funding for those who send their children to pre-school and those who send theirs to day care. Parents should not be penalised by politicians just because they spend less time working, more time with their children and ensure the children are being educated whilst in the care of other people.
Corruption is corruption whether in Iraq or Australia. Businesses and individuals in Australia pay kickbacks to our rulers and ruling political parties, just like in Iraq. Sometimes they do it through "front" organisations. They have to really in order to make the profits and the politicians have to accept it in order to get elected. We want reform just as voters overseas do. We want no public funding to be given to politicians or parties which accept private funding. We want all undisclosed donations to be paid via an independent government body so that politicians and parties cannot identify their benefactors and do them favours. Let's make Australian politics honest. There are plenty of honest politicians who would agree if it applied to all parties and politicians. Only voters can get it through.
Let's do immigration better. Recent events point to the problems of immigration without continuing support and integration. Immigrants need to learn to speak and write Australian, understand and accept our customs and culture. They need to be given good opportunities at education and careers, with assistance when they falter. Older Australians need education in the language, customs and cultures of our new immigrants. Both need government funded and organised opportunities to mix well. Australians are not unreasonable in not wanting to change their way of life to accommodate immigrants or their children to whom they extended a welcome. But they should be willing to learn about their immigrant newcomers and respect their culture and customs too. Politicians have proved they cannot do this well, so it is up to voters to make it work. The Campaign to Do Immigration Better needs Australians of all backgrounds. |
